Kobe is Unconscious, Figuratively

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

We're actually really spoiled to have a physical specimen like Kobe Bryant playing for our team. You seriously run out of adjectives when you try to describe his game.

Here, thesaurus.com tries to help out:

Main Entry: breathtaking

Synonyms: amazing, astonishing, awe-inspiring, awesome, exciting, hair-raising, heart-stirring, impressive, magnificent, moving, overwhelming, spine-tingling, stunning, thrilling

More to the point, Kobe really put in a spine-tingling performance last night against the Portland Trail Blazers at home, dropping 65 points at home for the second highest point total of his career (behind, of course, last year's 81 v. Toronto). Twenty-four of the 65 came in the fourth quarter, including a miraculous fading jumper to force overtime.

Chick Hearn (RIP) adds:

The game's in the refrigerator: the door's closed, the light's out, the eggs are cooling, the butter's getting hard, and the jello's jiggling!

Well said. The victory ends the Laker's 7-game slide and brings them back to 2 games over .500 on the season. I just realized that the Lakers have recently dropped down to the 7th seed in the conference (behind the Nuggets and before the Clippers), which would pit them against Phoenix. Deja vu?
