What Mr. Madden Does In His Spare Time

So... I'm here at work just going along with my business when this handy piece of news comes across the line (who calls it that anymore?):

Titans | V. Young lands Madden '08 cover

Terry McCormick, of the Nashville City Paper, reports Tennessee Titans QB Vince Young will appear on the cover of EA Sports Madden 2008 video game. A source with knowledge of the situation confirmed Young would be on the cover. An official announcement is expected Tuesday, April 17.

If you don't know why I posted this, let me explain:

When he's not making video games or thinking of new catchphrases, Mr. Madden hurts people.

That's right, he hurts people. It's a thing called the Madden Curse, and since 2000 it's been quite effective. Starting with Eddie George, then going onto Daunte Culpepper, Marshall Faulk, Ray Lewis, Michael Vick, Donovan McNabb, most recently Shaun Alexander, NFL athletes who have graced the cover of the popular football video game have either suffered terrible luck and performance or a devastating injury.

I guess it doesn't help to add that Vince Young will only be in his second year? Yikes.
